Steam is a natural method of deep cleaning, capable of eliminating toxic and chemical bonds between work surfaces and dirt, without resorting to solvents and detergents.
WHAT IS "DRY STEAM"?
When liquid state water is heated to its boiling point (100°C) water molecules that are in the liquid state begin to break their chemical bonds in order to transform into gaz state called water vapor (steam). Then by keeping the temperature constant to 100°C, water stays stable halfway between two states; liquid and gaseous. This particular state of water is called saturated steam.
Saturated steam can then be divided in two types; Dry Saturated Steam (often called Dry Steam) and Wet Saturated Steam (often called Wet Steam). The difference between both is the amount of liquid micro-droplets present in the steam. When the heating temperature is slightly increased and boiling point is exceeded, the majority of liquid micro-droplets are transformed into gaz. This gaz state with very low moisture percentage is what we call Dry Steam.
WHY IS "DRY STEAM" BENEFICIAL?
Thanks to its high temperature, dry steam can eliminate bacteria present on many surfaces. The intense heat combined with low humidity allows disinfection and deep cleaning in a single step.
